The name Equisscore tells our story. “Equis” is derived from the Latin word for the letter “X”—a symbol often used to represent the unknown, the unseen, and the undervalued. For us, it also represents the X factor: the founders and ideas that mainstream capital often overlooks, especially those led by women or built to serve women.

“Score” is our commitment to accountability. We measure what matters. Every investment we make will be tracked against a transparent impact score, so we can demonstrate, with real data, how returns and responsibility go hand in hand.
